Our Philosophy
To enrich children's lives in a nurturing and educationally rich setting with emphasis in self-experiences and community connections
The main focus for infants in their environment will include a caring and nurturing surrounding to promote the foundation of life. The toddlers will begin learning about the essentials of life and helping guide them through peer interactions and acknowledging themselves. Preschool children will begin learning skills that will prepare them for kindergarten such as literacy, mathematics, social-emotional, fine motor and gross motor to create a solid foundation for their future.
Weekly Rates
We offer full-time child care for children 6 weeks to 6 years of age.
Infants (6 weeks-15 months): $205/week
Toddlers (15 months-33 months): $195/week
Preschoolers (33 months-school entry): $185/week
School Age (Kindergarten-5th Grade):
Before/After School- $100/week
Full Non-School Day- $35/day
Summer School Age Care: $175/week
Toddler, Preschool, & School-Age Drop-ins: $75/day
Owners/Directors
Puddle Jumpers Learning Center is owned and operated by Jessica Busack and Emily Richter. Jessica was a 2002 graduate from Yellow Medicine East High and went on to obtain her Associate’s degree from Rasmussen College in Mankato in Child Development. Since completing her degree, she has worked full time as a preschool teacher at a childcare learning center in North Mankato for the past 15 years. Emily is a 2008 graduate from Yellow Medicine East and went on to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall. In addition, she has obtained a Master's degree in Parent Education with an emphasis in Spirituality, Wellness, and Healing through the University of Minnesota and holds a current teaching license through Minnesota Department of Education. After completing college, she taught 2 years in an elementary school before moving back to Granite Falls where she has been teaching preschool for the past 4 years along with coordinating the Early Childhood Program at the Yellow Medicine East School District.
Brightwheel
Communication App
Brightwheel is an app that Puddle Jumpers Learning Center uses to communicate with parents about their child. This app has multiple features that the child's teacher and aid will use to log about the child throughout the day. This app will be used to help communicate daily functions:
- Attendance
- Billing
- Daily Reports
- meals, naps, bathroom, activities
- Private Sharing
- photos, videos, & SMS text updates
These features can be accessed from any device via web or apps. Brightwheel is supported on IOS, Android, and Kindles.
